Women Ministry

The Women’s Ministry of Ongito Baptist Church exists to glorify God by nurturing women in their faith, building strong Christ-centered relationships, and equipping them to serve the church, their families, and the wider community. Through prayer, the teaching of God’s Word, fellowship, and practical service, the ministry seeks to raise godly women who love the Lord and faithfully live out the Gospel in their daily lives.

Core Functions and Goals

1. Spiritual Nurturing
The ministry is committed to the spiritual growth of women through Bible study, prayer meetings, sound biblical teaching, and encouragement. It helps women grow in their personal walk with Christ, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and develop a strong, consistent prayer life.

2. Fellowship and Connection
Women’s Ministry provides a warm and welcoming environment where women can build meaningful relationships, share life experiences, and encourage one another in love. Through regular gatherings and activities, women grow together in unity and mutual support as members of the body of Christ.

3. Support and Care
The ministry offers care and compassion to women facing different life challenges, including widows, single mothers, and those experiencing hardship. Through prayer, counseling, visitation, and practical assistance, the ministry demonstrates Christ’s love in tangible ways.

4. Discipleship (Titus 2)
Guided by Titus 2, the ministry encourages mentorship where mature women teach and model godly living to younger women. This discipleship focuses on faith, character, family life, and service, helping women grow into faithful Christian witnesses in their homes and communities.

5. Service and Outreach
Women are actively involved in serving the church and reaching out to the community. Through acts of mercy, evangelism, and support for church programs, the ministry seeks to be the hands and feet of Christ, sharing the Gospel through both word and deed.
